Robot Births

A newborn baby with umbilical cord ready to be...Image via WikipediaPregnant Robot Trains Students

Great tool for teaching and reviewing staff performance during child birth. Who would have thought a
pregnant robot would be teaching and preparing our doctors and nursing staff, to hone their skills.
I would much rather make a mistake with a simulation, than a real live birth. Lives will be saved from  the births ,of a robot babies. Having dealt with all manner of complications in the birthing process, without a loss in life.... plus the knowledge and experience gained......"Priceless."

Stunning Pictures

Birth time at the Charité Hospital: world's first delivery of a baby in an open MRI scanner from Philips

For the first time ever, it was possible to obtain one of a kind images showing the inside of the mother's body during child birth. Unique photos show the movement of the child in the birth canal until the head emerged. The birth proceeded without any complications...... and mother and child are both doing well.
